Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee security monitoring, incident detection, and response for all internal and client-facing systems.
  • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analysis to identify and mitigate potential security threats.
  • Manage and maintain our SOC 2 Type 2 accreditation
  • Own and manage internal systems such as Drata and Apollo to ensure employees remain compliant, and the company maintains the highest standard of security across both our software and our services
  • Implement and manage a Trust portal for client engagement

  • Develop and maintain security documentation, including threat models, incident reports, and system security configurations.
  • Provide expert guidance on security best practices to both internal teams and clients, ensuring proper implementation and adherence.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging security trends, tools, and technologies to continuously improve security measures.
  • Ability to lead security audits and assessments and work with external parties for certification purposes (e.g., SOC 2 Type II).

Preferred Skills:

  • Be a good human: We don't mind how, where or when the job gets done, we don't mind if you have 10 degrees or none, we don't care if you wear suits or pajamas. Just be a good human and have pride in your work.
  • Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, or other relevant credentials.
  • Experience with DevSecOps, automation, and cloud-native security tools.
  • Familiarity with data protection technologies, including encryption, data masking, and tokenization.
  • Experience in managing third-party risk assessments and vendor security evaluations.

Why Join Us?

  • Impact: We are just getting started, join us right before things take off and make your mark on the future of the company.
  • Collaboration: Work alongside visionary leaders (CTO and CEO) on groundbreaking projects that are redefining how law firms and legal departments manage and govern the flow of legal data.
  • Growth: Be part of a growing company at the forefront of legal technology innovation, with plenty of opportunities for professional development and impact.
  • Flexibility: Work where you want, and the hours you want. Get the job done, be flexible to work with clients around the world, show up with a smile, and the rest will take care of itself.
